Merry Christmas!
During the past 12 months, the Lord has brought us through so much
We’ve said goodbye to dear friends and we’ve met many new ones. Our dreams have gone through some edits and many of our fears turned out to be just shadows of the things we thought were greater than God and us.
Collectively, we have fed the hungry, we’ve clothed the naked and we have laid down our lives for others by sharing the gift of our time. Individually, we have claimed victory over sickness, we have waged war against demons through prayer and we are still here to give testimony of the mercy, grace and power of our Savior.
There is song often sung this time of year, titled “Go, Tell it on the Mountain”. No one knows the author; however, it was likely written by a slave just prior to the Civil War. The writer clearly identified with the lowly shepherds who were the very first to receive word of the birth of our Messiah. The single wish of Beverly and me is that Faith Church; corporately, and You; individually, might go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere that Jesus Christ is born!
If you didn’t start year like you planned…if you have not accomplished what you intended…fall on your face and ask God to give you the courage, the strength and the faith to hold on to the end because He who started a good work in you will be faithful to complete it if you let Him.
Christmas Blessings,
Pastor
