Pastor's Corner – November 3rd, 2023
Did you realize that 2023 is quickly slipping away from us? In just two more months, we’ll be welcoming in a brand-new year and brand-new challenges.
Are you ready?
Ready or not, time is moving on, so be sure to make the best of every day of your life.
Speaking of time, don’t forget to set your clocks back this Saturday night as we return to Daylight Savings Time. Every year, we end up with at least one person who forgets this annual tradition and they end up on the steps of the church an hour early, so if that person is you this year, just hang tight and pretend that you intended to arrive early for extra prayer time.
This Sunday, our Church will offer water Baptism to both adults and children and we have no fewer than 8 candidates.
This is a sacred moment in the life of our Church, and I am blessed to be the one who administers this special sacrament. Most of our candidates this year are children and next year, I am praying that God will allow us the privilege of baptizing at least 5 adults.
One final note; Saturday, 11/11 at 8 a.m., it’s the men’s prayer breakfast!
Last month, we met at Hamburger Heaven; however, the guys overwhelmingly decided they would like to have breakfast and prayer at the Church.
As usual, we’ll have a brief devotion, door prizes, a healthy meal and we’ll close with a time of power-filled prayer. If you’re a man, show up and bring a friend! If you’re not a man, send one.
