Pastor's Corner – August 2nd, 2022
It’s August! It’s our 1-year Anniversary in Midfield; our students are days away from starting a new school year and Christmas is only 5 months away. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun.
Here at Faith Church, a ton of volunteers put on one of the best Vacation Bible Schools I’ve ever seen. Finitra and Colby, backed up by Hospitality, a strong security team and an army of teachers and craft leaders, brought it all together and led 6 children to Christ.
Missing in action the last couple of weeks: Andre Aridge and Yolette Clark. Please keep these 2 sweet people in your prayers as they both battle with unfortunate health issues.
A bit of good news to share. We are 100% in our capital campaign pledges. What does this mean? It means that several people have committed to contribute an additional $6,000 to the ministry of Faith Church. It does not mean that 100% of our members have pledged; therefore, if you have not made your pledge, please do so today and become a part of our amazing future. Thanks again to all who have already pledged – you are awesome.
I hope you caught the first installment of the new teaching series last Sunday, “Why do we do what we don’t want to do?”. The second installment of this series will be presented this Sunday. The text for this series is Romans 7:14-15. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh,[c] sold as a slave under sin. 15 For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate.
Please join us in person or on-line.
Blessings,
Pastor Aubrey
