OUR PASTOR

Aubrey Miller, the leader of Faith Church Midfield, is a shepherd with a spiritual conviction, moral aptitude and old-fashioned wisdom to lead people back to God. After receiving his degree in theological study from Emory University, and he served as lay pastor in churches in Birmingham, Vicksburg, Memphis and Houston before founding Faith Church. In 1990, Pastor Aubrey planted Faith Church with 15 committed members. Today, under his leadership, the ministry continues to grow – from the campus of Birmingham Southern College to Ensley to our current home in the historic Oxmoor valley. When asked how he finds the time for so many endeavors he responds by saying, “ministry is life…every endeavor in life is just another opportunity to live out the Gospel”.

 

Pastor married his childhood sweetheart, Beverly, who he met at Kiddieland Amusement Park. They now have two grown daughters, Alison (Evan) and Amy (Will), and four beautiful grandchildren, Boyde, Brooks, Bennett and Evie, and the couple remains just as in love today as they were then. Our first lady Beverly is a lifetime educator and recently retired as a Principal in the Shelby County School System. Beverly was a visionary education leader, establishing the first Shelby County Pre-K program as well as launching the County’s first “Leader in Me” school program. Faith Church members rejoice in the fact that Bev is NOT your run of the mill First Lady – she is truly a phenomenal woman.
